SCRIPTURES
2nd Book of Commandments  31:35
35 And when the books are opened and the sealed portions of the Book of Mormon are brought forth all shall agree one with another; for truth disagreeth not with itself, whether it be written by a Lamanite, Gentile or a Jew, it mattereth not.
2nd Book of Commandments  56:13-17
13 Yet the law that was lived by the Jews at the time of My coming was not My law, saith the LORD, for it was a corrupt law made up of My laws mingled with the laws of men.
14 And therefore it was this vessel that was to be broken to pieces, for it no longer contained the living waters and it could no longer be repaired, for it contained too many errors.
15 For none could have understood the direction after the correction be made.
16 And it was this law that was to be done away and replaced by the new vessel, even the New Testament.
17 Yet, but a few years passed by before the waters of this vessel were also filled with filthiness, and I had to spew it also out of My mouth.
2nd Book of Commandments  61:20
20 I hereby also covenant that I will keep the laws of God and live them, even the Ten Commandments as outlined, and all other laws that are contained in the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and all other Holy Scriptures even up to the present time as pertaining to my relationship to my God and to my fellow men.
2nd Book of Commandments  117:4-7
Behold I say unto you, the ancient inhabitants of this place are the Nephites and Lamanites who did inhabit this land at the time that is described in the Book of Mormon.
And they did hide up more than one treasure here; and if ye inquire diligently concerning their history, ye shall receive knowledge as to where these treasures are hidden.
Ye must also seek after My Spirit, which will also guide you, for ye will not find all that ye require in the history of this people.
Yea, and their history is contained in the Book of Mormon, wherein ye read the people did hide up their treasures because of the wars and contentions of the people; and many of these treasures remain and are still hidden up at this time.
