7 And he that seeketh signs5 shall see signs1, but not unto salvation4.

8 Verily, I say unto you, there are those among you who seek signs5, and there have been such even from the beginning;

9 But, behold, faith cometh not by signs6, but signs follow those that believe6.

10 Yea, signs come by faith6, not by the will of men, nor as they please, but by the will of God.

11 Yea, signs come by faith6, unto mighty works, for without faith3 no man pleaseth God; and with whom God is angry4 he is not well pleased4; wherefore, unto such he showeth no signs1, only in wrath unto their condemnation4.

12 Wherefore, I, the Lord, am not pleased4 with those among you who have sought after signs5 and wonders2 for faith3, and not for the good of men unto my glory.

5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles2 among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith3?

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

19 And I will shew wonders2 in heaven above, and signs1 in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles2 and wonders2 and signs1, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

2 I thought it good to shew the signs1 and wonders2 that the high God hath wrought toward me.

3 How great are his signs1! and how mighty are his wonders2! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned4.

38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee5.

39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation4 seeketh after a sign1; and there shall no sign1 be given to it, but the sign1 of the prophet Jonas:

40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn4 it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn4 it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign1 from heaven.

17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation4; and a house divided against a house falleth.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs1 and wonders2; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect7.

30 And then shall appear the sign1 of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect7 from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
